The Old Sacramento Waterfront is ready to kick off March with a bang! With Mardi Gras and St. Patrick’s Day creeping around the corner, you know that means good times are bound to follow. Here are 4 events that are sure to put you in the festive spirit!
- Mardi Bark Parade: We don’t mean to bark out orders, but you must join the Old Sacramento Waterfront for a festive day celebrating all animals at the Mardi Bark Parade on March 2nd! The day kicks off with a small parade featuring dogs in costumes, on floats and rocking traditional Mardi Gras gear. The parade will step off at 11 AM led by the City of Trees Brass Band and will end with vendors, a brass band performance and a mimosa garden!
- Mardi Gras Party: Celebrate Mardi Gras like you’re on Bourbon Street! The annual Mardi Gras Pub Crawl is back and will be better than ever. Join the 2nd Street bars starting at 6:30 PM as live music on J Street kicks off the party. Followed by street and band performers traveling the boardwalks for a 21 and over pub crawl spreading Mardi Gras cheer.
- St. Patrick’s Day Parade: Enjoy some St. Patty’s parade magic in Old Sacramento. From Irish clubs to dancers to foreign cars, spectators can come and enjoy performances throughout the district starting at 11:30 A.M. Parade marches off at 1 PM and will conclude by 2 PM. There will also be a vendor market on K street to enjoy after the festivities along with post parade performances until 3 PM.
- St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl: Grab your green, Guinness, and good cheer as Old Sacramento celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with a pub crawl. Your goal? Finish the crawl! Check out the participating bars and come thirsty lads and lasses!
