If you are looking to get some fresh air and explore outside #DowntownSac has plenty of spacious scenery for you to enjoy with some new guidelines in place. Businesses are requiring that you wear masks before entering their establishments, there is new signage up reminding visitors to keep a six feet physical distance from others and some restaurants have extended their patio dining options to accommodate more patrons to dine safely.
One of the newest changes that we have implemented to make your visit with us not only safe but also more entertaining is that you can now immerse yourself in the sounds of live music from a distance while you wine, dine and shop! Live music can be enjoyed now at the Old Sacramento Waterfront on Thursdays from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. at Waterfront Park until October 17th, 2020. People can also experience extended patio dining available at Waterfront Park on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm – 5:30 pm. You can order from the participating restaurants to utilize al fresco seating! Check out our full list of all open businesses at the Old Sacramento Waterfront to make the most out of your time.
If you are out and about in #DowntownSac you can also enjoy live music at Ali Youssefi Square on Wednesday’s and Friday’s from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. while you enjoy your lunch. Limited physical distance seating will be provided and guests are encouraged to arrive early and order takeout from the surrounding businesses:

Photo Op: At Waterfront Park you will be able to enjoy a new mural on a storage container created by local artist Jeremy Stanger. It is the perfect spot to show your love for Sacramento by taking your photo in front of it and remembering to tag @oldsac for a chance to get your photo featured on our social media! The next mural you should check out while walking through Ali Youssefi Square in #DowntownSac is painted by local artist, Taylor Pannell of Taylor’d Mind Studios. The mural embodies the unity and love we should all have not just for our city but for each other because We are Downtown. Together. The mural is in partnership with the Black Artist Fund and has everything from abstract colors to poetry and greenery to make it the perfect opportunity to snap a photo and share the love with everyone you know!
Reminder: Guests are encouraged to adhere to recommendations from public health officials, available here.
- Individuals that are sick or are exhibiting respiratory symptoms like fever and cough or people at higher risk should stay home.
- Wearing masks are required and people should practice physical distancing and remain 6 feet apart.
- If you are planning to utilize the extended al fresco seating, remember to limit your time to one hour so others will be able to enjoy the outdoor seating as well.
- All tables will be sanitized hourly so you can safely dine after a previous party has left.
