Embarcadero Fireworks Watch Zone

This is the year of fireworks and they’re all visible from downtown, but the best spot will be at the Old Sacramento Waterfront on the Embarcadero! Right along the waterfront, you can watch the sky sparkle. You won’t have to sit in the parking lot traffic or worry about getting back downtown once the festivities are over – because you’ll already be here!

The Embarcadero Fireworks Watch Zone is the place to be to view the Fourth on the Field Fireworks Show. The show is scheduled to start around 9:30 p.m. If you want to bring chairs or blankets, bring ‘em out! Just be courteous of the bike lane and walkways.

Before the show

Bring your crew of family and friends to enjoy drinks, dinner, or dessert before the show starts. You can also make a reservation at any of the waterfront restaurants.

Another option is to order to-go and picnic on the Embarcadero!

Spend the whole weekend celebrating
The Rivercats and Sutter Health Park are really spoiling us this Fourth of July! All season long, the Rivercats have a firework show after their Friday and Saturday games. You can watch them from across the water at the Embarcadero on June 30th, July 1st, and July 3rd after sundown around 9:00 p.m.!

You won’t want to miss the boat parade on the river around 1:30 p.m. Wave and watch the patriotic boats float down the river!

If you’re a history buff or want to learn more, Sacramento History Museum and Old Sacramento Living History Program are hosting a Fourth of July picnic and croquet game on the lawn!

Have a safe and happy Fourth of July!
