A Dinner Journey through the Historic District

Camille Cobbs, Old Sacramento

Downtown Sac has become a foodie’s paradise, which to some, is both a blessing and a curse. While the choices seem wonderfully endless, it is nearly impossible to get a group of friends to choose just ONE of the available options. One may want a giant slice of deep dish pizza while another prefers a medium rare steak, and the next is craving chow mein. How can the squad leader possibly choose an option that will please everyone?

While considering this social dilemma, our team had a thought: why choose just one restaurant? Is there a way to provide a dining experience that pieces more than one location into a single meal?

Inspired by these thoughts and the progressive dinner concept, The Old Sacramento Dinner Walk was born. On August 9th, we will host a journey through the historic district that allows food lovers to sample many flavors and styles of cuisine in one meal. Enjoy the appetizer at one restaurant, entree at the second, and dessert at the third. Arrive to be seated at your appetizer restaurant of choice at 6pm or 6:30pm.
