Dance the night away in Downtown Sac

Marlee Wallace

Have you noticed when you go out dancing time just seems to fly? You’re moving to the beat, dancing with old friends and (hopefully) new, maybe have had a drink or two and BAM! It’s the end of the night. Dancing can boost serotonin and relieve stress, so go out and let the music move you!

TIGER

Tiger is such a fun place to hang with friends, get drinks, bites, and dance. There’s always a cool DJ playing music, and the vibes inside are great. TONIGHT they’re hosting a dance battle event called INTRUSION. It starts at 10 p.m. with DJ Shino Smoke spinning until 1:30a.m.

Dance on the Edge

Sometimes dancing to a new beat is intimidating, but not with Dance on the Edge. They offer beginner-friendly dance lessons at the start of each night so no worries, you’ll be twirling with confidence all night long. The event also features a beer garden, local vendors to explore, and plenty of opportunities to socialize and connect with others. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just looking for a fun night out, learn the art of Latin dance this week at Dance on the Edge at the Old Sacramento Waterfront on the Embarcadero.

Dive Bar

Dive Bar is famous for its mermaid shows but I don’t think it gets enough credit for the music. My nights at Dive Bar can be a little bit of a blur but not just because of the drinks. When you walking into Dive Bar on the weekends the dance floor is packed! People are having fun, you’re meeting new people, no one is taking it too serious, it’s a low-stakes night of fun.
