Frankie Wenson

We are creeping it real downtown this Halloween season! October is almost over and if you haven’t picked out your pumpkins, watched any scary movies or had any cavities from eating too much candy… you still have a chance. Trick-or-treat yourself this season and head to #DowntownSac to get in all your last-minute celebrations and costumes before October 31st!

Souls of the City: Día de los Muertos Walk  (Now – November 6)

Sol Collective and the Sacramento History Museum and Alliance are proud to invite the community to once again celebrate Día de los Muertos at the Old Sacramento Waterfront. In order to keep our communities safe and healthy from COVID-19 this year they are offering an alternative experience to the annual Souls of the City: Día de los Muertos festival. You can visit the installations displayed throughout several buildings at the Old Sacramento Waterfront including Heywood, Fat City, Lady Adams, Fratt, Tower Garage, and many more. Most of the altars, installations, and artwork will be indoors and on display through the outside windows. The exhibit will be available for the public to view from now through November 6th.

Death’s Inquest (October 23, 24 and 30)

You will be DYING to be apart of this tour! The Sacramento History Museum’s annual Ghost Tours will be going virtual this year and their spirited storytellers are not going to let a pandemic keep them from telling their tales. Gather the family for an entertaining evening of ghost stories based on actual events in early Sacramento. This time the ghosts will be in hour house!
