Joy & Madness

Joy&Madness promo imageIn one sentence, how would you describe your band’s musical sound?

Joy & Madness is frantic and infectious, soul and funk mixed with all sounds that make you dance.

Where do you plan on going after attending/performing a concert in Downtown Sacramento?

Hans and Bobby will be playing an electronic funk set after the show at Blackbird to start off the party. After that… well.. our CIP after-party last year ended at 3am in the emergency room. While we don’t want to repeat that specific incident, we can guarantee it will be equally as memorable.

Paul Gordon & The Ambient Lounge Experience

How did your band form?

Way back circa 2006, there was nobody we knew of playing modern electronic-based lounge music (emphasis on modern) in restaurants and live venues locally. We saw a need and filled it. We created something we wished we would see and hear whenever we went out for dinner and drinks somewhere. Essentially we are the soundtrack for urban contemporary cocktail culture.

What is your favorite part of downtown Sacramento?

Its lifestyle. Social connections – restaurants, art, culture. We like the waterfront area (Front Street by Tower Bridge). We need to get the waterfront cracking with restaurants, etc. Lets do this.
