This year, kick off your holiday shopping season by supporting the businesses that add the unique flavor that make Downtown Sacramento the ultimate place to work, live, and play. November 28 marks the sixth Small Business Saturday, a day to support the local businesses that create jobs, boost the economy, and preserve neighborhoods around the country.
Anchored between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Small Business Saturday is one of the easiest ways to support our community. And with nearly 500 local businesses in the Downtown core, supporting all things local is a snap! By spending locally, your dollars will directly benefit our Sacramento community and the small business owners who keep our economy running. The tax dollars go toward community resources and programs, the revenue supports small businesses, and those small businesses employ our friends, family, and neighbors.
Why not make a day of Small Business Saturday and turn it into an #urbanholiday experience like no other. Start your day by grabbing coffee or brunch at one of the many delicious cafes and restaurants along the Kay. Then head over to the Downtown Sac Holiday Ice Rink at 7th and K for a little skating and holiday shopping at the rink’s Maker’s Faire (weekends, November 28 – December 20).
There are fabulous places to find the perfect gift within walking distance of the ice rink, so load up on those presents before heading over to Old Sac for a more traditional holiday feel. You’ll probably have worked up an appetite after all that skating and shopping, so grab a bite before catching a showing of Old Sacramento’s magnificent Theatre of Lights.
Rest assured that you’ll have supported countless local artisans, vendors, and business owners by day’s end. What better way to support #ShopSmall on Small Business Saturday!
