Santa Claus is coming to (Down)town!

Shea GuntherMaher

This Saturday, don your Santa suits, ugly Christmas sweaters, reindeer antlers, or elf ears and come downtown for the second annual Santa Crawl – a charity pub crawl to benefit Shriners Hospital for Children – Northern California.

When: Saturday, Dec. 19, 1 pm – 5 pm
Where: Downtown Holiday Ice Rink, 7th and K
Route: Downtown and Midtown Sacramento
Cost to Participate: trick question – it’s FREE

Organized by Sacramento News and Review (SN&R) and supported by GoDowntownSac.com, this is one holiday party you won’t want to miss. The crawl runs from 1pm to 5pm and starts at the SN&R booth located at our Downtown Holiday Ice Rink at St. Rose of Lima Park on 7th and K streets.

The first 500 festive merry makers to swing by the SN&R tent will receive a free Santa swag bag (while supplies last) that includes goodies from local companies, including The Daily Crave, IMAX, Shriners, Corona, and SN&R. We’ve also thrown in a free ice skating pass! And you won’t want to miss the surprise guest from the Sacramento Republic FC who will be joining the revelry.

Participating bars and restaurants are offering Santa Crawl specials and include: KBAR, Mayahuel, Capitol Garage, 3 Fires Lounge, Sapporo Grill, and more. There’s no cost to participate, but revelers are encouraged to donate whatever they can spare to support Shriners Hospital.

So get into the holiday spirit and come on out this Saturday for some festive fun that’s all for a good “Claus.”
