15TH ANNUAL SACRAMENTO ZOMBIE WALK

No, it’s not Halloween quite yet. But, why wait to get your spooky thrills? On August 29th the undead will invade the grid for the 15th Annual Sacramento Zombie Walk.

Now, before you go soiling yourself with fright, let us reassure you this interactive performance art event is chock-full of family friendly festivities! Designed to be a large-scale community experience, anyone and everyone is encouraged to dress up in sinister zombie attire and join the undead fun!

So what do the undead do for fun, you ask? Well…

The Dead Play!

The festivities kick off at 4pm with Carnival of the Dead in Roosevelt Park featuring live entertainment, professional make-up artists, food trucks and various vendors. Bring your zombie kids and play carnival games while you listen to live music from the MOANS, plus a Creepy Kids Costume Contest (12 and under only) and a Zombie Bikini Contest sponsored by Cemetarium Haunted House.

The Dead Walk!

Zombies will take to the streets at 7:30pm alongside West Campus Marching Band. The downtown parade will include real live zombie attacks and Thriller flash mob followed by drink specials at Shady Lady for the blood-thirsty.

The Dead Watch!

p3946_p_v8_adDead-tired from shuffling the streets of downtown? Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy an outdoor movie screening of ‘Night of the Living Dead’ in Roosevelt Park at 9pm! (This film is not rated, but parental discretion is advised)

The Sacramento Zombie Walk was started in 2001 as a promotional event for the Trash Film Orgy Film Festival. Zombie Walks have become a cultural phenomenon and the event has grown into a stand-alone festival event for all ages. TFO Productions is proud to have the support of the City of Sacramento and the Sacramento Arts Community.
