Call your crew and get ready to pop the champagne! New Year’s Eve is fast-approaching and we’ve got just the way for you and your squad to have a ball. From seasoned traditions like fireworks over the river in Old Sac, to new gatherings at DOCO, downtown is going to be filled with the best events Sacramento has to offer. Read some of the happenings you must attend.

 

New Year’s Eve Sky Spectacular:

Ring in 2018 with Sacramento’s largest and longest-running NYE tradition. Fireworks will be lighting up the sky in Old Sacramento at 9 PM and the district will host vendors, balloon artists, a magic show by Mister Illusion, and band Thunder Cover who will be performing hit after hit to warm up the crowd before the big firework show. The fun begins at 6 PM and is a great way to have friends and family enjoy New Year’s Eve for free!

 

Venetian Masquerade at Revival at the Sawyer:

 If you haven’t had a chance to check out the new and luxurious bar and lounge Revival at the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel, there may not be a better time to marvel at its elegance and beauty than on New Year’s Eve. They will be hosting an intimate Venetian Masquerade with tasty cocktails and delectable appetizers from executive chef Patrick Prager. Enjoy the view of the fireworks from the rooftop deck and countdown to the New Year with a projected clock displayed on the pool.

We couldn’t think of a better way to close out 2017 than in 1920’s attire reliving the roaring decade in illustrious decadence. This Gatsby themed party is all the hype and is expected to welcome a Jay Gatsby impersonator, 1920’s French-electric swing music, a burlesque show, and a toast at midnight. Events producer Shannon McCabe knows a thing or two about throwing a party, so this night promises to be one to remember.

Old Sacramento Bars New Year’s Eve Celebration
