Love is in the Air

Katie Almazan

Just because Valentine’s Day has passed doesn’t mean a day dedicated to love has to be over. We’re taking all those affectionate feel-good emotions and aiming them right back to our city. Because not only are we Sacramento proud, we’re especially down for #DowntownSac- the district that hosts the best concert series in the city, houses a nationally recognized arena, and brings you some of the best retail and events around. Here’s why downtown has us all heart eyes.

Jordyn Anderson: I love Downtown Sacramento–what it is and what it’s going to be! I’m spoiled by the amount of time I get to spend here–witnessing, discovering and influencing Downtown’s evolution. There are few things more exhilarating than being at the heart of a city’s transformation.

Sureena Johl: I love #DowntownSac for being a small big city that values creativity, entrepreneurial drive and community involvement.

Valerie Mamone-Werder: It’s the unique combination of many things, the energy of the people interacting on the wide city sidewalks, the sense of community and support amongst the small businesses, the diversification of the neighboring districts and the way no two days are ever the same when I walk throughout the downtown city streets.

Nicole Grialou: I love Downtown Sacramento because I love being able to walk around day to night from bars and restaurants to the many events happening year-round.

Scott Ford: The echo of live music, the scent of fresh-cooked, farm-to-fork food, the smiles of strangers, the laughter of families, the cool Delta Breeze on my face, and the anticipation of world-class entertainment is why I love Downtown Sacramento.
