We were lucky enough to catch opening night for the Grammy® and Tony® awarded musical that’s stealing hearts and inducing sudden impulses to parade the streets of downtown with unity and pizazz. Only one word does Kinky Boots justice – sensational!
The theater was captivated and shoes were tapping along as the cast took us on a touching journey of friendship between an unlikely pair. The theme of acceptance and embracing others despite our differences imparted an awe-inspiring energy throughout.
Lola (J. Harrison Ghee), the Angels, and Charlie (Curt Hansen) had the audience yearning for more. Between the dynamic stage set up, perfectly casted crew, and flawlessly bedazzled costumes, we couldn’t take our eyes off the stage. The infectious energy of the closing number had everyone on their feet dancing along. We left joyous and ready to step into February, yes Kinky Boots and all, with the notion that we can change the world when we change our mind.
