Downtown Biz Spotlight: The Artists’ Collaborative Gallery

Amanda Maxwell

From paintings to jewelry, photographs and woodwork, The Artists’ Collaborative Gallery houses amazing art from over 30 local artists right here at the Old Sacramento Waterfront.

When you walk into the gallery you are immediately greeted by the artists themselves. As part of their membership at the gallery, each artist works a set number of hours making the experience of visiting the gallery unique and personal.

Verena Borton and her husband, Ray Borton work and both sell their art in the gallery together;

Verena sells her beautifully weaved scarves, blankets and shawls and her husband, Ray sells his colorful photographs.

“Meeting the people who purchase your art is special, it makes a connection between the artist and the buyer” Verna says.

Whether you are looking for a gift for someone special or something to treat yourself, the Artists’ Collaborative Gallery is sure to have a piece that will catch your eye. Next time you are at the Old Sacramento Waterfront make sure to stop by, say hello and shop these one of a kind, hand made items. And don’t forget to introduce yourself to the artists they would love to meet you!

Are you an artist? You can apply to be a part of this co-op! Visit the Artists’ Collaborative Gallery’s website at artcollab.com for more information.
