The most recent addition to Sacramento’s booming dining scene is Oliver Ridgeway’s Camden Spit & Larder where you can expect to be wined and dined to your hearts content.
555 Capitol Mall is where you can find this London-inspired restaurant that pays homage to Ridgeway’s British roots while channeling the farm fresh cuisine that America’s Farm-To-Fork Capital enjoys. When stepping into the restaurant you have multiple options for how you would like to have your dining experience whether it be an intimate dinner for two against the candlelight or watching Ridgeway and his team whip up all the delicious delicacies by sitting at the counter that overlooks the kitchen. They also offer a larder or a separate dining room area that can be used for private parties.
The menu offers “approachable, delicious no-fuss food designed to share” that is perfect for parties big or small! Our favorites were the steak tartar with egg yolk and oyster aioli and the raw marinated yellow tail served with lemon, peppered yogurt and mint. The homemade cheeses being used in the menu will also change year-round to highlight seasonal ingredients for everyone to enjoy. Camden Spit & Larder’s menu offers something for everyone including the vegan mushroom plate served with pickles, mustard, and grilled bread. You can reference the restaurants unique name on the menu with the spit roasted meats such as the organic roast half chicken served with olive oil whipped potatoes and charred lemon or the roast rib of beef served with fermented horseradish.
You can also experience Sacramento’s newest eatery this January 11-21 for Sacramento’s culinary celebration Dine Downtown! Camden Spit & Larder will be offering a special 3-course menu for $35 along with 35 other restaurants.
