Sip, sip hooray, It’s National Wine Day!

Whether you prefer a crisp white, fruity red or like to drink rosé all day, Bailarín Cellars has everything to satisfy your taste buds as soon as that first sip of wine touches your lips. National Wine Day is this Saturday, May 25th and what better way to celebrate the holiday weekend than to head over to 720 K Street at The Hardin and treat yourself to a glass or two of your favorite wine because let’s face it, wine brings everyone together no matter the occasion!

Right when you walk in the door you are blown away by the contemporary look and feel of the tasting room. From the floor, to ceiling brick walls, sleek black furniture with gold accents and of course the miniature succulents on the center of the tables, it’s the perfect place to have your photo-op with a glass of wine in hand. Bailarín is the perfect atmosphere for any occasion whether you are looking to have a girls’ night out (they have ladies’ night every Thursday from 4pm-8pm), a night on the town with your date, or a relaxing hangout with your coworkers after a long day at the office. You can also come for the happiest of hours Monday-Friday from 3pm-6pm where you can get $3 dollars off every glass! Lucky for you we are willing to share all of our tips and tricks with you so you can have the full Bailarín experience this Memorial Day weekend and every weekend to come to celebrate all things wine!

It’s wine o’clock

If this is your first time we recommend starting with their classic $10 wine flight. That’s five-one ounce pours of their most classic selections for a reasonable price. Our Wine Tasting Associate, Adrianne Abed-Fitt started us off with the 2017 Black Knight Chardonnay which has a softer oak pallet with a hazelnut finish. Then we went into the 2015 Suacci Vineyard Pinot Noir which is a more medium body red wine with notes of hibiscus and vanilla. The 2016 Suacci Vineyard Pinot Noir is a little different than the 2015 blend because of it’s buttery pallet with hints of cranberries and tobacco on the finish. They put their best fruit forward with the 2016 Black Knight Vineyard Pinot Noir that has a little deeper feel but is still light without a super strong alcohol presence and you will pick up hints of pomegranate, Asian pear and a little bit of black berries. The 2017 Love Zinfandel expresses a pallet of raspberry, strawberry and earthy tea leaves.

For the summer months they are offing a special summer flight for $8 composed of 3 tastings of their lighter selections like their 2018 Indian Springs Sauvignon Blanc which happens to be the first sauvignon blanc they ever made and you can expect to pick up hints of grapefruit, white peach, and pear perfect for the warmer weather. A 2018 North Coast Rosé that is a pinot and zin blend with a nice dark fruit taste and their 2017 Black Knight Chardonnay to finish. This way you get the chance to try a good selection of what they have to offer and you can purchase your favorite choices by the glass, bottle and case!

Partners in Wine

What is wine’s favorite partner? Cheese of course! Treat yourself to one of their cheese or charcuterie boards so that your glass of wine doesn’t get lonely. You can also get other small bites such as pastries, banana bread, biscotti and more. If you are looking for your caffeine fix you’re in luck, because you can also get coffee from Insight Coffee Roasters! Get yourself a hot cappuccino or refreshing cold brew to get you through the day. Take home a souvenir! You can purchase your own Bailarín wine glass for $10 or a wine tumbler that can fit a whole bottle of wine for only $25.

On Cloud Wine
