Our stunning neighbor, the @cathedraloftheblessedsacrament Built by Sacramento’s first bishop in 1887, Patrick Manogue, it serves as the mother church for the Diocese of Sacramento. Inspired by churches he’d seen in European plazas, Manogue modeled the cathedral after L’Eglise de la Sainte-Trinite (The Church of the Holy Trinity) in Paris. Once completed, there was no cathedral equal in size west of the Mississippi River. Enjoy the view from your guestroom or take in a Sunday mass, which are always open to the public. ❤️
