Wellness Class: Gut Bacteria and Mental Health

Learn how your gut and brain are closely connected. This class will discuss how your healthy gut bacteria helps alleviate anxiety, depression, and brain fog and how an unhealthy gut can be the cause of these symptoms. After class, you’ll have some ideas for what you can start doing to relieve your anxiety, depression and brain fog.

About the Instructor:
Dr. McCarthy is a Functional Medicine Psychiatrist who graduated with honors from the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, after first receiving a B.S. in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, also from UC Davis. Dr. McCarthy is passionate about the power of real food, mindset, and lifestyle to create health. She is committed to continuing to learn about the latest research and treatments and partnering with folks to heal.
