Marisela Hernandez, known as Marisela, is a Mexican singer. In 1984, she recorded her first album at the age of 18, and continued to release albums into the 1990s. Her cover version of Barbara George’s single “I Know (You Don’t Love Me No More)”, titled “Ya No”, peaked at number-one in the Billboard Latin Songs chart in 1990. Known as the Latin Madonna, Marisela is a native of Los Angeles whose sexy outfits and blond hair contributed as much to her fame as her girlish vocal style.

Marisela is one of very few singers who have managed to survive in the music business only by playing concerts in Mexican venues known as palenques. She will always remain a favorite in the hearts of her audience. She is now known as “La Dama de Hierro.” To date, Marisela has recorded 14 albums.
