Singer/songwriter Alex Russell was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA before settling in Denver, CO. He grew up listening to classic rock at home and The Bakersfield Sound in his Papa’s garage. His musical influences include Nathaniel Rateliff, Gregory Alan Isakov, and Jamestown Revival.
Alex has been singing his entire life and enjoys the energy of playing live shows. His songwriting blends musical storytelling with catchy melodies. He has played with multiple groups including The Brewhahas and Whiskey Revolution. More recently, he has been focused on solo performance and songwriting, with the goal of recording and releasing an EP later this year.
He is at home with a guitar in hand and prefers his bourbon on the rocks. No one left to blame, cause Mama Tried.
