Concerts in the Park Announces 2017 Lineup
12-weeks of live performances begin May 5 in Downtown Sacramento
SACRAMENTO, CALIF. (March 30, 2017) — Downtown Sacramento Partnership today revealed the 2017 Concerts in the Park (CIP) lineup during a free lunchtime concert in downtown Sacramento. The free weekly summer music festival returns for its 26th season Fridays May 5 through July 21 from 5 to 9 p.m. in Cesar Chavez Plaza.
The 2017 Concert in the Park Series features an impressive lineup of the hottest names among nationally touring artists and the region’s musical talents from the worlds of R&B, Americana, pop, rock, indie, alternative and hip-hop on the Waitr Stage as well as Sacramento’s hottest DJs spinning between sets on the Blue Diamond Growers’ DJ Stage.
On the heels of a new record deal with Warner Bros. Records, Sacramento-based electronic duo Rituals of Mine will headline the kick-off of Concerts in the Park on May 5, followed by:
- Los Angeles-based quintet Grizfolk on May 12
- Cemetery Sun making their CIP headlining debut on May 19
- Americana duo HONEYHONEY on May 26
- Secret Band, the creative side project of Dance Gavin Dance members, on June 2
- Founding member of the legendary underground hip-hop crew Hieroglyphics Del The Funky Homosapien on June 9
- Reggae funk mashup on June 16
- Legendary ska punk band Mad Caddies on June 23
- Self-described “bootie shakin’ rock n’ roll” band Vista Kicks on June 30
- Crowd favorite Sacramento-based Arden Park Roots on July 7
- Redefining R&B artist LUM.R on July 14
- And, wrapping the series, Joy and Madness on July 21.

More than just great music and Sacramento’s favorite Bud Light Beer Garden, Concerts in the Park for the first time will also curate seven unique experiences during the summer festival series.
